Cream and Walnut Pasta Sauce |

This creamy, velvety sauce with chucks of walnuts is great for any pasta dish or even for veggies or meat. From 400 Sauces cookbook. Ingredients:
1 cup walnuts |
1 garlic clove |
4 tablespoons olive oil |
1/2 cup heavy cream |
1/2 warm water, as needed |
salt, to taste |
Directions:
1. Place walnuts, garlic and oil in a food processor and process into a paste, adding up to 1/2 cup of warm water, throught the feeder tube, to thin down the paste. 2. Spoon mixture into a bowl and add the cream. Beat well to mix, then season to taste. 3. Add to pasta, and thin out with pasta water, if needed. Enjoy! |
