I like to have this with a little bit of non-fat vanilla yogurt and fresh berries or peaches (or both!) Ingredients:
4 cups rolled oats |
3/4 cup wheat germ |
1 1/4 cups post grape-nuts cereal |
1/2 cup coconut flakes |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
2 tablespoons brown sugar |
1/2 cup canola oil |
1/2 cup honey |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
1 cup dried cranberries |
Directions:
1. combine the oats, wheat germ, Grape Nuts, coconut flakes, walnuts and brown sugar in a large bowl. 2. in a smaller bowl, combine the oil, honey, vanilla and cinnamon. 3. mix everything together and spread into a 13x9 inch pan. 4. bake at 300 degrees for about an hour, stirring every 15 minutes, until everything is toasted. 5. allow everything to cool and toss in the dried cranberries. |
