A traditional recipe with the added tartness of dried cranberries... try it with almonds, too!
Ingredients:
2 cups granny smith apples, chopped
2 cups red delicious apples, chopped
juice of 3 lemons
1/2 cup celery, chopped
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup sweetened dried cranberries
1/2 cup grapes, halved
2 cups whipped cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
1. Combine apples, lemon juice, celery, walnuts, cranberries and grapes in a large serving bowl; set aside. Combine whipped cream and mayonnaise in a medium bowl; mix well. Toss with apple mixture. Sprinkle with nutmeg; chill before serving.
