I wanted to add the taste of tart, fresh cranberries to tea, without getting fussy. I had NO idea if it would work, but it did, wonderfully. So smooth, tart, and soothing. Ingredients:
4 cups water |
1 cup fresh cranberries |
4 lemon/ginger tea bags |
honey or sugar to taste |
milk if desired |
Directions:
1. Pour water into medium saucepan. Add cranberries. See Photo 2. Heat over high heat until boiling and berries pop open. 3. Add sugar or honey, if using, and continue to boil for about 5 minutes. See Photo 4. Turn off heat. 5. Add tea bags, cover, and let steep about 5-7 minutes. 6. Remove bags and pour into serving mugs.(through a stainer, if desired) 7. Add milk, if using. |
