This cake will knock your socks off! It stays moist for days, if it lasts for days. It's wonderful plain...it's incredible with the cream chesse frosting! Ingredients:
1 egg |
1 cup of sugar |
1/2 cup of shortening |
1 lb can of jellied cranberry sauce |
1/2 tsp ground cloves |
1 tsp cinnamon |
1 tsp baking powder |
1 tsp baking soda |
1 1/4 tsp salt |
1 3/4 cups of flour |
1/2 cup of chopped walnuts |
1 cup of raisins, softened |
Directions:
1. Cream shortening, sugar and egg 2. Add sifted dry ingredients 3. Beat in cranberry sauce 4. Fold in raisins and nuts 5. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean 6. Cool completely and frost with Cream Cheese Frosting |
