Ingredients:
1/4 cup(s) 1% milk |
3 1/2 tablespoon(s) butter |
1/4 cup(s) dried cranberries |
1 egg, beaten |
pinch(s) salt |
1 3/4 cup(s) self-rising flour |
2 tablespoon(s) sugar |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 425 and grease a baking sheet. 2. mix flour and salt and cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in sugar and fruit. 3. Beat egg in glass measuring cup and add enough milk to make 1/2 cup (approximately 1/4 cup). Reserve 1 teaspoon for brushing the tops. 4. Knead together to make a ball and then roll or flatten to a round of about 1/2 inch thickness; cut into 2 1/2 inch rounds. 5. Re-roll trimmings and cut more rounds (I got 11). 6. Brush tops with reserved egg mixture and bake untl cooked through, about 10 minutes. |
