I wasn't sure how the unpeeled oranges would turn out, but it was like a candied orange. This is probably one of the better cranberry sauces I've tried. Serving size is estimated. Ingredients:
4 cups cranberries, fresh |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1 cup water |
1 orange (whole, unpeeled, seeds removed, and chopped fine) |
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves |
1/2 cup crushed pineapple, drained |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
ground cinnamon |
Directions:
1. Wash cranberries and set aside. 2. Bring sugar and water to a boil. 3. Add cranberries, oranges, and cloves. 4. Simmer over a high flame, stirring frequently until berries pop. 5. Add crushed pineapple, walnuts, and cinnamon, and blend. 6. Cool and serve. |
