This recipe was tucked away in a 20-year-old recipe file I uncovered not long ago. Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups golden raisins |
1 1/4 cups orange juice |
1 cup granulated sugar |
1/2 cup white vinegar |
1 (12 ounce) bag cranberries |
2 teaspoons orange zest, minced |
1 1/4 teaspoons ground ginger |
1/2 cup walnuts, chopped |
Directions:
1. In large saucepan over medium heat, bring raisins, orange juice, sugar & vinegar to boil, stirring frequently. 2. Reduce heat & simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes. 3. Add cranberries, zest & ginger, & heat to boiling over high heat. 4. Reduce heat & simmer, uncovered, another 10 minutes. 5. Remove from heat & stir in walnuts. 6. Cool, cover & refrigerate. Serve cold. |
