This is such an amazing and perfect addition to a Thanksgiving meal. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
1/2 cup chopped pecans |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 cup drained canned whole cranberry sauce |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 beaten egg |
2 tablespoons melted shortening |
1 teaspoon zested orange peel |
Directions:
1. Sift together dry ingredients. 2. Add pecans. 3. Combine egg, cranberry sauce, orange peel and shortening. 4. Blend in dry ingredients and stir until just moistened. 5. Mixture will be thick. 6. Pour into greased loaf pan. 7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 to 50 minutes. 8. Cool on rack. |
