From Potluck at Midnight Farm by Tamara Weiss, c. 2002. Tart, refreshing lemonade. Ingredients:
3 cups fresh lemon juice (from about 20 lemons) |
2 cups superfine sugar |
3 cups water |
1 1/2 cups cranberry juice |
2 lemons, thinly sliced |
1 lime, thinly sliced |
1 cup fresh cranberries (optional) |
Directions:
1. Strain the lemon juice and combine it with the sugar in a large serving container or wide-mouthed jar. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Add the water and cranberry juice and stir again. Add a couple of trays of ice to chill the lemonade well. Then add the lemon and lime slices, and the cranberries, if you care to, and serve. |
