Ingredients:
2 (12-ounce) packages fresh cranberries |
2 quarts water |
cheesecloth |
1 1/3 cups sugar |
juice of 2 lemons |
6 whole cloves |
Directions:
1. Combine cranberries and water in a Dutch oven; bring to a boil. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until berries pop open. Strain mixture through very fine cheesecloth. Discard pulp. 2. Return strained juice to Dutch oven; add sugar, lemon juice, and cloves. Boil 5 minutes. Remove cloves, and discard. Chill juice thoroughly. Serve cold. |
