Refreshing side dish to go along with a turkey dinner Ingredients:
1 bag fresh cranberries |
8 yellow delicious apples |
1 can crushed pineapple; drained |
2 cups sugar |
3 boxes strawberry jello |
2 1/2 cups hot water |
Directions:
1. Grind together the cranberries and apples. Set aside. 2. Drain the pineapple well. 3. In a saucepan over medium heat, dissolve sugar and jello in water. 4. Remove from heat; stir fruit into hot mixture. 5. Transfer into serving bowl; chill overnight or until set. 6. TIP: I substitute some of the strawberry jello for cranberry flavored. 7. I have also used sugar free jello to help cut down on the sugar content. |
