CRANBERRY ICE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Cannon Estate in Addison, Texas in 1990. Ingredients:
24 ounces fresh cranberries |
2 cups granulated sugar |
1-1/4 cups fresh orange juice |
1 cup fresh lemon juice |
Directions:
1. In a large pot add cranberries and enough water to cover then boil until berries start to pop. 2. Drain and put through a food mill placed over a large bowl. 3. While still warm add sugar to dissolve in the warm berries. 4. After dissolving the sugar in the berries stir in fresh squeezed orange and lemon juice. 5. Pour into a square pan and freeze overnight then take out of freezer 10 minutes before cutting. |
