My Mother-In-Laws recipe for a cranberry holiday salad. Can be served as a side item with dinner, or a dessert. Always a favorite at family gatherings. Ingredients:
2 cups raw cranberries |
1 (8 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained |
0.5 (8 ounce) package mini marshmallows |
1 large apple |
3/4 cup sugar |
1 pinch salt |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
1 cup whipped cream |
Directions:
1. Wash cranberries and apple. Quarter and core apple. Put cranberries and apple through food chopper using course blade. Mix in mixing bowl - cranberries, apple, pineapple, sugar, salt, marshmellows and nuts. Cover and store in refrigerator overnight. Fold whip cream into cranberry mixture, and serve. |
