Deliciously sweet and tart at the same time. A little bit of the sauce drizzled on top is simply to die for! Ingredients:
1/2 cup and 2 tablespoons butter (divided) |
2 cups sugar (divided) |
2 cups flour |
1 cup milk |
3 teaspoons baking powder |
1/f teaspoon salt |
3/4 cup whipping cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 1/2 cups (or 1 whole package) cranberries |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F. 2. Combine 2 tbsp butter, 1 cup sugar, flour, milk, baking powder and salt. Mix thoroughly. 3. Gently fold in whole cranberries. 4. Pour mixture in a greased 9 x 13 pan and cook for 40 minutes. 5. Meanwhile, combine 1/2 cup butter, 1 cup sugar, whipping cream and vanilla in a small saucepan. 6. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. 7. Let cool. Sauce will thicken when it cools completely. 8. Drizzle over the top of cranberry cake. |
