This recipe has no fat or cholesterol. Every other recipe for this bread has an egg or shortening in it. The dough is very thick but bakes into a very good fruity bread. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
2 cups flour |
1/2 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup orange juice |
2 tablespoons water |
1 cup fresh cranberries (washed and cut in half) |
Directions:
1. Sift top ingredients together in large mixing bowl. Add orange juice, water, and cranberries. Stir until mixed completely. 2. Bake in Pam sprayed bread pan for 1 hour at. 3. 350°. Turn out bread and cool. |
