CRANBERRY APPLESAUCE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Wagner Estate in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1990. Ingredients:
4 large apples peeled cored and chopped |
1 cup fresh cranberries |
1/2 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup water |
3 cinnamon stick |
3 strip lemon zest |
Directions:
1. In heavy saucepan cook all ingredients over moderate heat stirring for 15 minutes. 2. Discard cinnamon stick and lemon zest then force mixture through a food mill. |
