This tangy cranberry-apple relish is a perfect make-ahead holiday side; you can store it in the refrigerator for up to three days before serving.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups chopped peeled granny smith apple (about 1/2 pound)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white grape juice
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 (12-ounce) package fresh cranberries
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer until thick (about 15 minutes), stirring occasionally. Cool completely.
