I cannot remember exactly where I found this one, but it's nice, simple, crispy, and the smell of this dish while it's in the oven is enough to make your mouth water. Ingredients:
4 large green apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1/2 inch |
1 cup fresh cranberries |
3/4 cup brown sugar |
1/2 cup flour |
1/2 cup rolled oats |
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon |
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 375. 2. Lightly coat an 8 inch square baking pan with butter, and add apples and cranberries to the pan. 3. Combine the sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and softened butter in a bowl. 4. You can use your CLEAN fingers, or a fork to mix this, I like to use my fingers -=) 5. Sprinkle over the fruit and bake until golden brown, about 30 minutes depending on how rad your oven is. 6. Serve it nice and hot with a nice scoop of ice cream or cool whip -=P |
