Cranberry and Apple Crumble |

This is so delicious and lighter than the usually apple crisps. Put some vanilla ice cream on top and it's amazing! Taken out of Cooking Light. Ingredients:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour |
1/4 cup granulated sugar |
1/4 cup brown sugar |
1/4 cup chilled butter, cut in small pieces |
6 cups baking apples, peeled,sliced |
1 cup fresh cranberries |
1/3 cup fresh orange juice |
2 tablespoons granulated sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. 2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. 3. Combine flour, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, brown sugar and butter in a food processor; pulse 10 times or until mixture resembles coarse meal. 4. Combine apple and cranberries in a large bowl. 5. Combine juice and remaining ingredients; pour over apple mixture. 6. Toss well. 7. Spoon apple mixture into a 2-quart baking dish. 8. Sprinkle with flour mixture. 9. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown. 10. Serve warm. |
