Very impressive dessert to serve in front of your guests. Great over ice cream. Enjoy Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1-1/2 cups water |
2 cups fresh cranberries |
1/4 cup brandy |
vanilla ice cream |
Directions:
1. Combine sugar and water in a saucepan stirring to dissolve sugar. 2. Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes. 3. Add cranberries and bring to a boil again. 4. Cook another 5 minutes on slightly reduced heat. 5. Pour into a heat proof dish or chafing dish. 6. Heat brandy. 7. Ignite heated brandy with a match and carefully pour over the cranberry mixture. 8. Blend brandy gently into the sauce and serve over ice cream. |
