The hot apple slices in this drink are a great treat-and they also serve as a natural sweetener. Ingredients:
2 cups freshly brewed hot black tea |
1/2 cup cranberry juice |
1 1/2 cups apple juice |
2 cinnamon sticks |
4 whole cloves |
sugar (optional) |
apple, slices for garnish |
Directions:
1. Combine the tea, juices, cinnamon sticks, and cloves in a saucepan and simmer over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove the spices and pour over the mixture into 4 cups. Add sugar to each individual cup, if desired, and garnish with a slice of apple. |
