My grandma recently passed and I was going through her old recipes. I remember her making this when I was a kid. I have yet to make it on my own. Ingredients:
1 sleeve saltine crackers |
1 cup unsalted butter |
1 cup packed brown sugar |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Spray cookie sheet with olive oil and put crackers on sheet with edges touching. 3. Melt butter and brown sugar in a pan, stirring constantly. 4. Bring to boil and boil for 2 minutes. 5. Pour the mixture over the crackers and spread evenly with a knife. 6. Bake for 5 minutes- toffee should be bubbly. 7. Remove from oven and cool. 8. Break into bite size pieces. |
