this is the recipe I use for my cracker Jack popcorn...I use this also now to fix any microwave corn that I haven't really enjoyed...(like cinnabon and kettle corn,,) fixed it fine..Thought I had better post my recipe before after using for 20 years, I just might loose it, since the page is falling out of my book... Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups white sugar |
1/3 cup water |
1 2/3 tablespoons white vinegar |
1/3 cup butter |
2 1/2 quarts popped corn |
Directions:
1. Mix butter and sugar, water and vinegar over medium heat. 2. Cook until AMBER in color. 3. Do Not Stir. 4. Pour over the popped corn and toss until coated. 5. Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet to cool. 6. Break into pieces. 7. Peanuts may be added if desired. |
