A recipe from Quebec and very good. Ingredients:
1/2 cup onion, minced |
1 garlic clove |
oil |
2 lbs beef, cut into 1 inch chunks |
flour |
3 tablespoons oil |
1 1/2 cups water |
2 tablespoons chili sauce |
salt and pepper |
1 bay leaf |
1 tablespoon dried parsley |
Directions:
1. Brown onions and garlic in oil. Set aside and keep the oil. 2. Roll the chunks of beef into flour. But remove the excess of flour. 3. To sauté (fry) the chunks of beef in 3 tablespoon of oil. Water down with water. 4. Incorporate chili sauce. Season with salt and pepper and bayleaf. 5. Cover and cook in the oven at 375 F for about 2 hours. Add parsley. |
