A different way of making a crabcake Ingredients:
1 lb crab meat |
1-2 cups of panko bread crumbs |
2 tbs mayo |
1 tsp sesame oil |
1 tbs frshly grated ginger |
4 chopped scallion including green parts |
3 tbs peanut oil |
1 tsp wasabi |
3 tbs tamari |
1 thai or serrano chilli finely diced |
1/2 tsp sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix the wasabi,tamari,sugar and chili in a bowl and set aside ( dipping sauce) 2. Put the crab in a large bowl and combine the sesame oil, mayo, ginger and scallions and gently mix. Add the panko a little at a time until the mixture is firm enough to form into patties but not to firm. Refridgerate for 30 minutes then form 3/4 thick patties and fry in peanut oil. |
