These can be made as 1/2 muffins for a personal snack, or cut into fourths and made as an appetizer. Good either way. Ingredients:
1 stick butter, room temperature |
1 jar old english cheese spread, room temperature |
1-1/2 teaspoons mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt |
seasoned salt to taste |
1/2 pound fresh crabmeat, shells removed |
6 english muffins (i stick with thomas') |
fresh chives, chopped, for garnish |
Directions:
1. In a bowl, mix buter, cheese spread, mayonnaise, garlic salt, and seasoned salt. 2. Add crabmeat and mix until blended. 3. Split the english muffins. 4. Spread crab mixture evenly on the english muffins. 5. Put in the freezer and freeze for 10 minutes. 6. If you are using them as appetizers, cut into fourths. If eating as snack leave the halves as they are. 7. Broil until bubbly crisp. 8. These can also be frozen. |
