I have been looking for this recipe for years. My grandmother made them and I didn't get the recipe before she past away. I was looking in one of her cookbooks, and there it was!!! They taste like the ones she made. Ingredients:
crabapple (alot!!! there is no measurement) |
6 cups sugar |
3 cups water |
Directions:
1. Wash and remove blossom end. 2. Leave stems on. 3. Do not peel! 4. Make syrup with sugar and water. 5. bring to boil. 6. Boil for 5 minutes. 7. Add apples to syrup. 8. boil until apples are tender and transparent. 9. Fill hot jars with fruit and syrup to 1/2 inch of top. 10. put on canning lids. 11. Process in hot water bath for 15 minutes. |
