This is my version of Paula Deen's Crabbies . Ingredients:
8 ounces crab, picked free of shells |
5 ounces kraft old english cheese spread |
2 tablespoons mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 cup butter, softened |
1 dash cayenne pepper, to taste |
12 english muffins, split and toasted |
old bay seasoning |
Directions:
1. Combine 1st seven ingredients (through cayenne pepper) in a large bowl. 2. Spread mixture over muffin rounds. 3. Score each round into quarters with a knife or pizza cutter. Try not to cut all the way through. 4. Place the rounds on a baking sheet, and sprinkle with Old Bay. 5. Freeze for several hours, then place into a zip-lock freezer bag. Freeze until needed. 6. When needed, preheat broiler. Place as many rounds as you need onto a greased foil-lined pan. 7. Broil for 4 to 6 minutes, watching carefully, until bubbly and golden brown. 8. Place onto serving dish, and separate into quarters. |
