These are the tradional Crab Rangoons. They are simple to make and fast. Great snacks. Ingredients:
1 can crabmeat |
1 block creamcheese |
1 can water chestnuts |
1 package of won ton wrappers |
small bowl of water |
oil to fry |
Directions:
1. Dice water chestnuts. 2. In medium mixing bowl add, crab meat, cream cheese and water chestnuts. Set aside. 3. Take one won ton wrapper and add about a tsp of crab filling into center. 4. Using your fingers dipped into the water, rub across the edge of one corner of the won ton wrapper. 5. Fold corners to meet and seal firmly. 6. Should resemble little triangle or half moons depending on what kind of wrappers you use. 7. You can use a fork to press down edges to seal, or pinch between fingers like you would a pie crust. 8. Repeat till you've used all your filling. 9. In large skillet place about 1-2 inches of oil, heat till hot. 10. Carefull drop a few in a time, don't crowd them because they do expand a little. 11. Fry a couple minutes on one side and roll over to brown the other side. Should be a nice golden brown. |
