This is a very easy and well-liked appetizer. It will be a hit at holiday parties. From the kitchen of Tona Thornburg Court, Bridgeton MO. Ingredients:
8 ounces sour cream |
8 ounces cream cheese, softened |
6 ounces shrimp seafood cocktail sauce |
6 ounces chili sauce |
8 ounces imitation crabmeat, shredded |
8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded |
1/2 cup green onion top, chopped fine |
Directions:
1. Mix softened cream cheese and sour cream. Spread as a base layer into a 1 deep tray or pie plate. 2. Next, mix the chili sauce and shrimp cocktail sauce and spread on top of the cheese layer. 3. If desired, sprinkle the chili sauce with a little basil or oregano, garlic salt and pepper to suit your taste. 4. Then spread the imitation crab meat on top follwed by the mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle green onions on top. Refrigerate until 30 minutes before serving. 5. Serve with Bugles or Scoops or Tostada Chips. 6. NOTE: You can use frozen mini-shrimp instead of crabmeat. |
