This appetizer is the one I bring to any occasion. It's a huge hit wherever I take it. We have a huge family and this crab dish serves a large group. It doesn't take long to prepare but it does take a while in the oven. I suggest baking it at home and warming it up at the guests house if you are taking it anywhere. You can also use immitation or fresh crab meat. I hope you enjoy it like me and the family do! Ingredients:
500 g cream cheese |
1/2 cup sour cream |
5 green onions (or to taste) |
3 crushed garlic cloves (or to taste) |
2 cups old cheddar cheese, grated |
2 cans crabmeat, washed and drained |
1 sourdough loaf |
Directions:
1. Pre-heat oven at 350°F. 2. Hollow out the sourdogh loaf and save the bread for dipping. 3. Mix the first 5 ingredients thouroughly. 4. Gently mix in the crab meat. 5. Fill hollowed out loaf with crab mixture. 6. Cover with double tin foil. 7. Bake for an hour and a half. 8. Dip in and enjoy! |
