This is the easiest, tastiest crab cake recipe I've come across. Not too salty or bland ... not too dry or soggy. Just the proper balance. Feel free to make them smaller and serve as an appetizer, but we love them so much, they're always a main course. Read more . Great on a European bun with tartar sace and lettuce too! Ingredients:
1 egg yolk |
1/3 c. mayonnaise |
2-1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce |
1 tsp lemon juice |
1 tsp black pepper |
1 tsp dry mustard |
1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes |
1/4 tsp. old bay seasoning blend |
1-1/4 c. fresh bread crumbs |
3 tbl. fresh parsley, chopped |
1 lb. crab meat |
flour for dusting |
oil for frying |
Directions:
1. Heat oil to 350*. 2. In a medium bowl, combine yolk, mayo., Worcetershire sauce, lemon juice and all dry seasonings. 3. Fold in bread crumbs and parsley. 4. Gently fold in crab meat. 5. Form into individual cakes and lightly dust with flour. 6. Fry in hot oil until golden. |
