Avoid the fat in deep frying and cook stovetop using cooking spray, Ingredients:
1 - 7 oz can of crab, drained |
1/2 c red pepper, chopped |
1/4 c green onions, chopped |
3 large garlic cloves, minced |
1 t oregano |
1 t parsley |
1 t basil |
1/2 t lemon pepper |
3 egg whites |
1 t lemon juice |
2 slices whole wheat bread |
3 t light mayonnaise |
Directions:
1. Pulse whole wheat bread into crumbs using food processor or blender. 2. Add all ingredients together and mix thoroughly. 3. Divide mixture into eights. 4. Roll into balls and then flatten. 5. In a skillet sprayed with cooking spray, cook crab cakes over medium heat until golden brown. 6. Serve immediately with a lemon wedge. |
