This really does taste as sweet and tasty as H syrup. My family loves it. It was given to us as a Christmas present. Ingredients:
4 cups brown sugar |
4 cups white sugar |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
3 cups baking cocoa |
2 cups water |
1 cup light corn syrup |
1/4 cup vanilla |
Directions:
1. Mix in a 6 quart kettle the first 6 ingredients until it is well blended; add another cup of water and stir again. 2. Bring to a boil and make sure its a rolling boil for at least five minutes. Watch closely or it will boil over. 3. Add 1/4 cup vanilla. 4. Remove from heat. 5. Boil lids and rings. 6. Pour into sterile jars and seals. 7. Refrigerate after opening. Makes 5 pints. |
