Growing up extremely poor and living in the Midwest, my mother had to get creative with a family of a military husband, 5 sons and 4 daughters. She dubbed this Cowboy Food . I still love this to this day! Maybe it's just that it's so comforting to me! Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef |
2 (15 ounce) cans pork and beans |
1 small onion, diced |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
salt |
pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef with onion and garlic until beef is no longer pink. 2. Add 2 cans of pork n beans and cook until heated thorough. 3. Salt and pepper to taste. 4. Tastes good with toast! |
