My husband apparently named these when he was about 5. They are one of his favorite foods. Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 cup breadcrumbs |
1 egg, beaten |
1/3 cup tomato sauce |
1/4 cup lemon juice |
1 cup grated cheddar cheese |
3 tablespoons onions, chopped |
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt |
1/4 teaspoon black pepper |
6 slices bacon |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. Combine all ingredients except bacon. Mix well. 3. Form meat mixture into 6 patties. Be sure they are not very thick. 4. Wrap one slice of bacon around each patty. Secure bacon with tooth picks. 5. Place in greased 9x13 casserole dish. 6. Bake 20-30 minutes. 7. Don't forget to remove tooth picks before serving. |
