We used to eat these on campouts. Starting the recipe the night before. I added the overnight soak time to the passive cook time . Ingredients:
2 cups rolled oats |
2 cups buttermilk |
2 eggs, lightly beaten |
1/4 cup butter, melted and cooled |
1/2 cup flour |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Soak oats and buttermilk overnight. 2. In bowl, mix eggs, oat mixture and cooled butter. 3. Mix dry ingredients and add to bowl. |
