This dish is so simple & good that you may start exploring foods from other countries to serve over the Cous Cous. But if not, then just treat the Cous Cous as you would rice. Ingredients:
1 box cous cous |
1 tablespoon butter |
chicken stock (instead of water) |
white wine (optional) |
1 clove garlic (finely minced) |
salt |
seasoning (i change the seasoning to match or compliment my main dish) |
2-3 tablespoons honey |
Directions:
1. Pour in Chicken Stock, White Wine (Optional), Butter, Garlic, Salt & Seasoning & allow to boil. 2. Cous Cous can be made like Rice. You do not need to make the whole box. 3. Directions are on the box for the correct amount of proportions per serving. 4. When the liquid is boiling, pour in the Cous Cous 5. Remove from heat & cover. 6. Allow to sit for 5 minutes 7. Remove top & stir in the honey. 8. I do not know why, but the Honey is most flavorful when added after the grain is cooked, not during cooking. 9. This is Yummy with stir fried Meat & Veggies. 10. Enjoy:) |
