This is an incredible quiche that I obtained from my friend who owns a bed and breakfast in East Texas. This is one of the most requested items on her menu and she is always asked for the recipe, which she glads shares with all who asks. Read more . Enjoy Ingredients:
9 inch) baked pie shell |
1 tablespoon butter |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup chopped green pepper |
1/2 cup chopped onion |
6 eggs |
1 cup milk |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon paprika |
1/2 cup diced cooked lean ham or turkey ham |
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
onion slices separated into rings |
green onion curls |
Directions:
1. Cook celery, pepper and onion in butter over medium heat until tender but not brown. 2. Sprinkle vegetables, ham and cheese into pie shell. 3. Beat eggs, milk, salt and paprika until well blended then pour over vegetable mixture. 4. Bake in preheated oven at 375 for 35 minutes. 5. Let stand 5 minutes before serving then garnish with onion rings and green onion curls. |
