This came from Good Housekeeping. I have not tried this, just posting for easy finding. Ingredients:
6 medium green peppers |
1 lb bulk pork sausage, ground beef or 1 lb pork sausage |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1 1/2 cups cooked rice |
8 ounces cheez whiz processed cheese spread |
1/2 cup chopped tomato |
Directions:
1. Remove tops and seeds from peppers. Parboil 5 minutes; drain. Brown pork sausage; drain. Add onion; cook until tender. Stir in rice, 3/4 cup process cheese spread and tomatoes; fill peppers. 2. Place in baking dish; cover. Bake at 350, 40 minutes. Top with remaining process cheese spread. |
