A creamed cabbage recipe from a local country resteraunt. Ingredients:
3 lbs cabbage (1 large head) |
2 -3 stalks celery |
1 carrot |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
1/2 cup vinegar |
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1 dash black pepper |
Directions:
1. Shred Cabbage. 2. Chop Celery and Carrot (fine). 3. Mix the Vinager, sugar, and mayonaise together. 4. Combine all ingerdiants in a large bowl. 5. Let sit for 2 hour before serving. 6. For best results allow to sit overnight. |
