He likes them big so I only get around 3 dozen or less, make them smaller if you want more. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups brown sugar |
2 cups blueberries |
1 cup shortening |
2 large eggs |
3 cups quick-cooking rolled oats |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1 3/4 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 cup chopped nutmeats |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, shortening and eggs. Stir in milk. 2. Sift together dry ingredients. 3. Blend into the creamed mixture. 4. Stir in oats, nuts and blueberries. 5. Drop on greased cookie sheet. 6. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes. |
