We eat a lot of chicken and it is always nice to find another good way to cook it, this is one of the good ones! Ingredients:
1/4 cup all-purpose flour |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1 (2 1/2 lb) frying chickens, cut up |
1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, melted |
1 onion, chopped |
1 green pepper, sliced |
1 -2 clove garlic, smashed |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
2 cups water |
1/4 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
1 teaspoon curry powder |
1/4 cup raisins |
2 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds |
Directions:
1. Coat chicken in flour and salt. 2. Saute in butter. 3. remove and keep warm. 4. Add next 3 ingredients, cook 3 minutes. 5. Blend in next 5 ingredients, mix well. 6. Add chicken, cover, simmer 30 minutes. 7. Garnish with almonds. |
