Received this from a friend who always brought a pot of this with her home-made bread whenever we had soup and bread suppers at church back in Spokane, Washington. Being a Wisconsin farmer's daughter, I was a bit put off by it NOT being totally a real dairy product, but the flavor IS delish, plus the calories and cholestrol saved are worth the fake-ness !! Ingredients:
3/4 cup canola oil |
1 cup buttermilk (optional) |
1 lb margarine, softened |
2 teaspoons salt |
Directions:
1. Blend all ingredients in a large mixing bowl-whip until well mixed. 2. Spoon into smaller serving-size containers and chill. |
