Comfort for the cold days of winter Found this recipe to be a winner at home Hope you all like it Ingredients:
beef short ribs |
fresh corn |
frozen bag of veggies |
tomato paste |
hot sauce ( if f amily likes hot taste otherwise not necessary) |
salt and red pepper to taste |
frozen okra sliced in pieces or diceed cabbage |
ijust mdeit with cabbage and corn bread ( jiffy) |
Directions:
1. Get a large Soup Pot Fill with water ( purified) 2. Bring water to boil and put in the beef short ribs 3. Take the fresh ears of corn and scrape off the kernels Put aside 4. Skim off the debris that floats on top of Ribs let cook for a few minutes then begin adding veggies, 5. Put in corn AND FROZEN veggies 6. Add tomato paste. Stir till paste is desolved 7. Cook the soup on the s tove for about 3 hours then when ribs have tenderized till meat falls off nes at touch 8. Now for the strong hearted . About 25 minutes before serving add the sliced okra 9. Seaon to your taste 10. I serve with hot french bread and a nice glass of wine 11. Watch the size of the pot as this soup growws LOL |
