This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Boswell Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984. Ingredients:
1 box yellow cake mix |
1/3 cup butter softened |
1 egg |
20 ounce can apple pie filling |
1/2 cup brown sugar packed |
1/2 cup walnuts chopped |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 cup sour cream |
1 egg |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350. 2. In large bowl combine cake mix, butter and egg at low speed to form crumbly dough. 3. Press mixture into bottom of an ungreased rectangular pan. 4. Spread apple pie filling over top. 5. Combine brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon then sprinkle over pie filling. 6. Combine sour cream, egg and vanilla then pour over top and bake 50 minutes. |
