Ingredients:
2 cups sifted cake flour |
2 teaspoons baking soda |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon |
2 teaspoons ground allspice |
1 1/2 cups vegetable oil |
4 eggs, well beaten |
2 cups sugar |
3 cups grated carrots |
carrot cake frosting |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, soda, salt, and spices; set aside. 2. Combine oil, eggs, and sugar; beat well. Add dry ingredients; beat well. Stir in carrots. 3. Pour batter into a greased and floured 13- x 9- x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 325° for 55 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely, and spread frosting over top of cake. |
