And another old recipe from my grandmother's cookbook. Ingredients:
5 tbsp crisco |
1 cup sugar |
1 egg |
1 1/2 cups flour |
2 1/2 tsp baking powder |
1/2 tsp salt |
6 tbsp cocoa |
1/2 tsp cinnamon |
2/3 cup milk |
halved large marshmallows |
Directions:
1. Blend creamy crisco with sugar and egg in one easy stirring. 2. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with the milk to crisco mixture. 3. Pour into Criscoed muffin pans. 4. Bake in moderately hot oven (375) about 20 mins. 5. Before removing from oven, place halved marshmallow on each cake. 6. Let melt slightly. |
