Cottage Cheese Bran Bread |

A nicely brown bread great for sandwiches. Has a distinct oat smell and flavor. I developed this bread from a basic bread machine recipe. Ingredients:
1/3 cup water |
1 cup cottage cheese |
2 tablespoons margarine |
1 egg |
1 tablespoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon salt |
2 cups bread flour |
1/3 cup wheat germ |
1/3 cup all-bran cereal |
1 tablespoon wheat gluten |
2 teaspoons yeast |
Directions:
1. Put enough Fiber One bran cereal into a mini food processor and process until it is a powder. 2. Place all the ingredients into the bread machine pan in the order given. Set machine on regular white bread setting. Bake. 3. Yield: one large loaf. |
